The love of travel and sense of occasion lured Brigid to the wine industry. Having worked in corporate finance for over 10 years, it was over a glass of wine or several that Brigid decided to embark on studying her Masters.
Several vintages later, both in Australia and abroad she decided to make this dream a reality. She joined a notable corporate wine company in Sydney and will be forever grateful. “I met some wonderful people, worked with some exceptional winemakers and frequented some of Australia’s most iconic wineries”. It was a leap of faith that brought Brigid to the Riverland to continue her winemaking career and has since worked in the capacity of Assistant Winemaker and now Winemaker. “ I feel it is the winemakers responsibility to portray the soul of the region in the bottle. The way each parcel of wine evolves, matures and develops its own characteristics is truly quite magical. My true love has always been wine”. If asked to pick a preferred wine “ I literally can’t, they are all delicious!”
Now also a vineyard owner Brigid is equally passionate about adapting sustainable viticultural practices, in particular organics and the plight of the Riverland region. Brigid holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics from the University of New England and a Masters of Wine Science and Viticulture from Melbourne University.
