Shiraz

2012 BAROSSA VALLEY

Deep blood red with purple hues. The wine displays aromas reminiscent of red berries, dark cherries and cassis with a little spiced white pepper and dark chocolate cocoa. Decanter and the fruits of forest overtake the senses, with savoury earthy notes and dried thyme. The palate oozes dark ripe blackberries, blueberries, and cherries with a little quince paste and vanilla for good measure. Medium to full in body and length, the rich dark fruits and chocolate are wonderfully balanced with a defined tannin structure. Smooth in finish with a hint of that characteristic Barossa Shiraz spice.
